Yes I am well versed on the cam sensor dilema. I was hoping that Karl may have some insight that others including myself have not discovered. When these sensors were available at auto parts stores up to maybe 5 years ago they were costing $220.00. I am yet using a prototype built by a Z brother in VA with way more skill than myself. I would like to have a spare.

Not sure what the issue is. I answered a question and gave an alternative.

Besides my original response was for the person who posted this thread. If you are using the cam sensor alternative I mentioned that's great!

Not everyone knows of their options.

I did some poking around online, and certainly couldn?t find replacement ones. Was this prototype you have supposed to,lead to some kind of a production run?

Members here had hoped it would materialize into a production run but it was not realized. I had spoken to Jerry on this subject but the reasons were undisclosed. Therefore lies my inquisition to Karl if he has any alternatives. I am not an electrical engineer and would not attempt anything that could harm the unobtainable ECU and ignition module. Just a guy trying the keep the legends alive.

I found the ebay site that had the cam sensors. They had one left, so guess what? I bought it. Not knowing of any alternatives at the time, I had to. I installed it and got the same results as with my original. Money well spent! I followed the steps in the 1991 "Service Manual" for testing. The only thing I couldn't do, yet anyways, is to test it on an "O" scope for the square wave readings. Maybe, just maybe, it's the ECM. Whatever it is, I just wanna find it.
To be continued
