Per my conversations and emails with Jeff @ Discbrakesrus, these are new GS calipers without the "Corvette" from PBR and they mill the face to all ZR-1 to fit on flat surface. I'm considering a set myself, still researching other options. They will do any variety of colors for ZR-1 letters the calipers but I'm leaning towards the red with white letters as shown.

I was not trying to counter your information and they probably meant rebuilt but stated new. I thought it was too cheap to be new and wondered myself. There is a site that sell them new (pair) for $269 but I'm not sure if they get a special buy or that when they say new, they mean rebuilt. Here is a copy of the email: From:"discbrakesrus.com" <sales@discbrakesrus.com>To:"HawaiiZR1" <hawaiizr1@yahoo.com>Subject:Re: part numberDate:Mon, 13 Mar 2006 08:51:05 -0500 HTML Attachment [ Download File | Save to Yahoo! Briefcase ] Hi caliper are new and we mill the face to fit ZR-1 on them ----- Original Message ----- |

I forgot to mention that there are no rotors for the $449 price, just two calipers powder coated according to when I spoke with them. I will be ordering a set myself and will take pics and let all know what I think when I get them in my hands.

Z Factor,
Will do. From the performance standpoint there were many better choices for the $ I guess. Foolish me just had to have the "ZR-1" bling on the calipers. At least I will be able to tell folks what the real deal is first hand. Craig |
