Guy's ......Let's get on the same page here. This is about drag racing. And not a drag queen contest Keith ! This is not that kind of club here.

I have a request:

I think I am going to end up tracking this so when you pay with PayPal, please indicate payment is for drag racing and if paying for more than one person, list each person's name. Since renewals for membership and drag racing are both $35 it isn't easily noted which is which.

I probably won't check here to see if you are paid. I have 4 right now, Kevin, Pete, Bob G and Tom.

Thanks

***NOTE***

If you select the personal tab when paying, and then select "other", we can avoid the PayPal fees.

Mine are 2 for Drags, the Racing kind.

Will there still be racing if only 8 people pay/join?

Frank,
Can we still do a few runs at the Buick GN event on Thursday?

The Buick G/N meet has been changed to October. I'm not sure if the track is open on Thursday.

Considering the number of times we get rain in May in BG KY, perhaps the Registry might be better off following suit - moving it to October: Dry and cool. (Just a thought.)

That isn't a bad idea at all Paul. Actually a very good idea. As the weather in BG in the month of May can be very troublesome at best.
Maybe we should consider taking a vote at the museum this year ?

There is no need to be nervous. There will be plenty of help available. We want everyone to have a good and safe time.

I will try to get a group discussion scheduled for Saturday afternoon so that we can talk about drag racing procedures and etiquette.

In any event, just ask one of the Registry guys at the track about staging and running and we will be glad to explain it.

I will leave the actual race performance techniques to the experts.

Once you get familiar with the track "rules", I know you will have fun driving your ZR-1.

I made 24 passes on street tires the first time I went to BG (2008). If you have drag radials, just put them on and drive to BG. That is what I did in 2009. If you have slicks, put one in the back and one on the passenger seat. You can swap them in the pits.

You will need a DOT approve helmet.
