BTW Kevin, The Cadillac LMP car was never branded a Corvette, nor ever intended to be branded anything but a Caddy. It also used a Northstar-like DOHC motor (a twin-turbo version of the Aurora IRL motor), no Chevy engine in there. It's too bad Caddy never got the reliability together on that car, it was fast as **** when it was running.
I thought it was a chevy for a bit before being switched to a caddy? either way it was still pretty cool

JMHO. knowing that an LMP car is a rules dictated platform, basically they are all the same save how your aerodynamic engineers determine small stuff to control air flow, this is a very inexpensive way to just get the brand name out in view for the TV time. They spend so much time with the camera on the LMP cars that unless the 4 or 3 is actually on the podium overall they get little air time for the huge dollar investment.

There have always been LMP cars using the LSx as a starting point for power, but unless you saw the bow tie emblem on the C-pillar GM wasn't getting much exposure on TV. I think this is a good move for the investment costs if you look at the TV air time that you get for the money. JMHO.
