Re: At first glance...
Now that is an statement made if I ever saw one. I would like to have seen that car in person and the owners too! I need to take some needle point and crochet classes. Thats why I like car shows.

I'd kinda like to think the person with all the fuzzy stuff on the dash was doing it to protect the dash etc. Who knows. Some will find highly custom work attractive others, not so much.

Re: At first glance...
I saw an ad for a 1991 C4 Corvette today on Craig's list in NC and when I went there it was an ordinary C4 but the text said it had "ZR-1 Factory Wheel Rims" I looked and it was not an LT5 engine and the wheels were some dealer's aftermarket rims put on with big black spokes. The owner's photos and notes seemed genuine so I emailed him and said those were not ZR-1 rims. His answer since the car was now sold, and it was a nice looking, well kept car, was that "I was wrong because the dealer had told him they were z rims and a few got put on." They were not sawblade wheels.
I congratulated him on his sale and showed him a photo of a Z factory rim/wheel but was a little shocked at the lack of knowledge of what was a Z piece of equipment and what was not seemed pretty big. Lance

Re: At first glance...
Scott, I sure hope they don't roll down the windows when crusin' or the fuzzy stuff may be all over the place including the car behind them.
Lance, when I went to a chevy dealer car show this spring, two mechanics came out to see the ZR-1 in the midst of 6 other C4 models. The mechanics just stared at the engine for awhile and smiled as they were leaving. Then the service manager came out as well when he got word of what was out there. There is hope for the ZR-1 after all. Frank, that is a sweet Lingenfelter. Hungry lookin'. I had a chance to buy a C4 Lingenfelter when I bought the Z but decided not to after I saw how hard it was run and not very well maintained. The dealer was racing it every week and then trying to sell it. |
