Re: Farewell Osama
Frank,
Have you gone down to the memorial yet? It looks absolutely beautiful. |

Re: Farewell Osama
Thanks guy's. Geoffrey was how shall I say ? ? Especial. Especially nuts. One in a million. He was going up to help while everyone was trying to go down. Was glad to have known him.
Have been there several times Dom. It's spectacular and heartbreaking at the same time. Hard to explain. Get the feeling of an apple stuck in the throat when we go there.

Seeing it on television, it very much gives me the same sense as I got when I visited the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. I watched a NOVA on them building the memorial and how every guy on that crew was focused on making sure it was done for the 10th Anniversary of 9.11. It looks stunning and I can hardly wait to go there. Being from NYC, I know what the WTC meant as a symbol. The greatest compliment I can bestow on the memorial is that it looks as if it has been part of the city forever. As if it has alays been there. It is a wonderful tribute to people like your brother! You must be very proud of him. |
