Re: VIN of the first ZR-1 sold to the pubic
Without the build sheet, is there any way to get the "born date" of the car - day as well as month? I don't remember where I got it from, but I was able to get this for my previous C5 without any difficulty. And where do you get a copy of the build sheet?

I am not aware of anywhere else to get the build date of a specific car, but there could be.

Re: VIN of the first ZR-1 sold to the pubic
This thread has got me to thinking. (Not always a good idea!)
Does anyone know what date '90 production started? About how many were being produced daily? If production went a full year, which I don't know if it did, the average daily output would be a little over 8 per day. If there was no production on weekends the output would be nearly 12 per day. Holidays? Plant downtime? (I'm going to stop thinking now!)

Re: VIN of the first ZR-1 sold to the pubic
Harvested from the other "First ZR1 on sale" thread:
1990 #19 was the first ZR-1 sold to the public. #1 to #16 were all Engineering test units (RPO: YE8 and/or WD1). #17 was the "Engineering Lead Unit" and #18 was a "Chevrolet Advertising Vehicle". Jim __________________ Crabs
