Tom, think about it this way. It actually makes your ZR-1 look good.

Hello from Switzerland,

I have a C3 for sale. You could spare a lot of time.

Great RC plane Collection.

I have a RC Corvette that does about 65 and a Nitro boat that does about 75mph.

I've had a few planes but I keep crashing them

Thanks guys for all the positive thoughts, I'm definitely going to need it.

Carter, there is no Crack Pipe, but I might need one if you've got a spare.

I came home from work yesterday and "The Slut" was sitting in my garage, compliments of my Wife's Uncle Roger (thanks Rog!!).
It seems that an old tenant at one of his rentals left the car as payment of unpaid rent some years ago and it just sit covered with a tarp on the property.
He asked me one day if I wanted another 'Vette and I told him "well....maybe...kinda...what's it look like, maybe I gotta go see it some time".
He got tired of waiting for me to make a decision and he had a buddy with a flat bed haul it all the way from the Bay Area to Folsom and drop it off while I was at work.
Surprise!!

She's a wreck and needs tons of work, but other than the nose and grill she's complete.
She's a '77 base model, no frills, nothing special.
I've got to check into the smog laws, see what hoops I will have to jump through. That alone might be more trouble than fixing up the car.

The price was right: $0.
Yup. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Sadly, the resale value on a '77 'Vette ain't all that great, so there's no incentive to restore it to original.
Resto-Mod here I come.
It'll run again, it just probably wouldn't make Zora proud.

Now that must have been a surprise when you came home from work and looked in the garage!

Free is good!

Hey Brad, do you think if we call Overhaulin' ? They did one vette, I think?

Oh lord wont ya fix my C3 corvette
My friends all drive C4 ZR-1 corvettes....I must make amens
Oh lord wont ya fix my.....

Ahhh, it don't quite work, but I can just hear Janice singing it....

My first vette was a 72 LT-1, and that car sure was simple to work on. Heck even the r&r on the heater core was easy...only about 4 hrs & she had A/C too. I guess the newer C3's got complicated along the way with all the safety & emissions stuff. That car sure was fun though, as crude as it was vs my ZR-1, but still fun. I miss that car.

I hope you have some fun with "Slut", TC

Let's see if we can make this work, Janice...

Oh Lord...wont ya fix my...C3 Corvette
My friends...all drive Z BEASTS!....I must make amends
Oh Lord...wont ya fix my...C3 Corvette!

Anywayz...I can identify with the "girlfriend meet the slut" comment!

Ami's C3 is a 69/70 350/350 (L46/M4/4.11) vert...RUDE, CRUDE, and SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE, but ya gotta love 'er anyway! Ami's birthday present request last year was for side pipes, to make it "more rumbly" Little by little we're returning her to pure '69 status. But, I hear ya as far as working on her ol C3 goes...Couldn't be much simpler. The engine turns the fan and alternator and nothing more, the dash comes apart and goes together in minutes. Yeah, she's cold blooded and runs crappy until its warmed up; but then she's roarin' ta go! (Electronic SFI will spoil ya rotten...ROTTEN! I tell ya!) Vettes...I love 'em all (Just love some more than otherZ!)
