Re: Headers
In case you haven't already settled on a lift yet, I wanted to mention that I got a Direct Lift Pro Park 8S last summer. Works great. Researched a bunch of home-type 4 post lifts and concluded it was the best compromise of features vs price for me. An important feature for me was the ability to get my cars underneath vs overall width of the thing. LGAFF also has one which he showed me. Mine cost $2,100 and I paid $900 for delivery and installation, since I didn't want to do it myself. Very pleased with it. I have a bunch of pictures posted in my albums; just click my avatar and you can see them. -- Bob

Re: Headers
How high does your ceiling need to be to get both cars in there like that? I love that setup ... can you put two lifts side by side in that garage?
How wide is your garage in feet? Thanks ---

Re: Headers
Thanks for the info, I have been checking on different lifts . I may have to move a beam or two in my garage to get maximum height out of the lift. Will check all options . ( nice set-up WARP Thanks

Re: Headers
I'd perfer to dimple the headers. But, that means dry fitting, removing, dimpleing, then sending them out to be coated.
I had a shop do my headers, so I don't know what they did for shims. |

The minimum height of the ceiling depends on what cars you are lifting and the dimensions of the lift you are using. I had to fit a 59" high BMW and a 47" high ZR-1. There is a ceiling height calculator for the Direct Lift Pro Park lift--just Google it as it is hard to find from their website. Hope that helps. --Bob
