It?s got less at than 30k on clutch, and since a dual mass isn?t available I don?t want to chance getting it out of balance.

Also, mark the driveshaft & differential before removing so it can be reinstalled in the same position.

Alright, got all the 8 mm bolts off both sides of manifold heat shields but can't maneuver them off the manifold, FSM doesn't even mention them. How do I get them off, I have the motor mounts support cross members off....update..well it seems I mis-understood, I don't have to remove the heat shields prior to manifolds, just loosen them..if that is the case that's good but I don't see how anyone re-using the stock manifold gets those heat shield screws back in!

I got the drivers heat shield off, can't for the life of me see how the passenger side comes off, can I get to the manifold bolts with the heat shield loose? I am at a stopping point for the day my helper had to cut out, I can see the motor mounts, looks like the passenger is cracked for sure, can't really tell yet...first two photos is drivers side, last two passenger.

They usually crack where the bolt goes horizontally through the rubber. Like I said, haven't seen one without broken mounts yet. The heat shield bolts require extreme patience. I assume you removed the wheel well inner panels for access?

Yes, I removed the inner fenders. Today I hope to get the headers off. Did you need to reuse and header bolt spacers ( planning ahead) with the Mr. Gasket header bolt set? I am also trying to decide to use titanium heat wrap on the heaters instead of ceramic coating...cost and time is a factor.

The header bolts go on as is. They are designed to bite into the header flange with the serrations under the head of the bolts.

Default Lot going on..questions about trans R/R, Motor Mounts, and full exhaust

Good Lord, I have to have taken the passenger header off incorrectly. There is no way it should have been that hard. Do these look like oem fasteners with the washers, plus I thought the factor used less bolts than this, how man of the Mr. Gaskets bolts go in..all? and what about the stud to the oil gallery, do I reuse the stock stud? Thanks
