I think there is a possibility that the NCRS is wrong about that. Ted Dempsey sent me a photograph of an original oil filter for one of his 95's and it was the PF970, NO "C". it's exactly like the one in the post by rgfllamas.

Here's a couple more pics, one on a Wix filter installed in the car the other is on a Bosch filter.
Any of you that are interested just PM me. Basically, cover my cost to print them up and postage and I'll send them out. I print them in a block of 4 and figure $5 should cover it. Next issue.... the pics of the original AC Delco filters look like a "tall" filter, like the Wix. It measures about 4" but isn't fluted at the top. The fluted filters I've found, the Bosch and Purolator are shorter, like 3.5". Is there a decent 4" fluted top filter?? Last edited by rgfllamas; 04-22-2010 at 04:11 PM. Reason: correction |
