Here is the tensioner I have. The white plastic tape started coming out so I replaced it.

No problem, the teflon tape will be replaced.

I really admire what you are doing here. I stupidly ruined my Factory Tensioner housing today trying to force the spring in. I've called all around and nobody has an LT5 Tensioner core ANYWHERE!!!
