Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?
Thanks, XfireZ51, my XDF file for F0 doesn't seem to have the definitions for those specific PORT values. Would you be willing to send me the XDF you're using? I notice tpepmeie also mentioned there possibly being a voltage related setting as well, which I don't see. |

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?
XfireZ51, I appreciate you sending those over. It looks like mine are currently set to 17.43 and 24.44 as min/max.
Making sure I understand the concept here. As-is, the minimum kPa to ever open the secondaries is 17.43. Anything under it would result in keeping them closed. As-is, the maximum kPa to ever close the secondaries is 24.44. Anything over it would result in keeping them open. By going to 10.41 / 104.51, nearly the outer limits of a 1-BAR MAP sensor, we're telling the car "We really don't care if they're open/closed, don't go trying to force anything for us based on kPA." Is that close? I appreciate the opportunity to learn. |

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?
You are giving the ECM conditions that it will virtually never see for it to close the secondaries. This also assumes u have the calibration set for FULL POWER always being ON. Finally I have my calibration set so that secondary injectors turn ON as soon as TPS is OFF IDLE. Its possible to command secondary injectors to turn ON after some other TPS %, but setting them to 0 basically has the ECM using Low and High VE tables PORT OPEN for everything except idle and closed throttle decel conditions.

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?
Dom, if somebody wanted to run the second injectors at zero tps, that?s possible too. I think it?s just one branch instruction (from >, to >=). Not that there is a compelling need to do that, but it might keep the ports and injectors cleaner if a car idles a lot.

There's no value in my XDF I see to massage this, but I could do a memory trace and flip the key back and forth to see what addresses change, then likely add it if it's a relatively simple flag. Quote:
Same... don't see a setting for that. More exploration required. The easter egg hunts are sort of fun. |

Re: Code 61 with secondary system removed?
Scorp, if the light is on straight away then it?s likely already programmed to default to full power.
You should have a 1D table in your xdf file for port throttle open tps % versus rpm. That?s the one dom is talking about. Should be zeros. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

I?ve not seen anything in the calibration to allow for two injectors ON in idle conditions. My sense is that altho the PW is halved between the two injectors, Idle would require a PW that would be too small to be distributed to two injectors. Easier for that PW to be controlled by 1 injector. And that?s just my guess about it. I?m sure that someone who knows how to write code could modify it to do so. Perhaps w a large enough displacement, you may need to do it.
