Jeff, does that mean that GM still sells all the stuff on your shopping list?

It's been a long time since I looked up all that stuff.

I was just about to ask the same question.

Is there a published (current), ZR-1 specific, list of parts that GM still carries or has sources available from (i.e. GM Restoration parts)?

I used to use either the GMpartsdirect.com or partszoneonline.com search engines. The latter was/used to be P & G Chevrolet in PA., but they are not a chevy dealer any longer.

Anyway, I would look up the parts on the parts CD and then run the numbers at those GM sites to see if the P/N's were still valid or if the P/N's were NLA.

With all the small town mom & pop, and under performing GM dealerships forced out of business, I can't help but think there will be a lot of, OEM ZR-1 specific and Corvette in general, stuff hitting the on-line auction sites and large swap meets, after their parts inventories are bought up, cataloged and then put up for sale. There must to be a lot...well maybe not a lot, but at least some... ZR-1 stuff sitting on dealer shelves that they didn't even know they had.

The same goes for dealership tools, and some unemployed mechanics tools, used specifically on Corvettes...lots of used Kent-Moore tools will be hitting the market.

It's an unfortunate situation for those GM dealerships and employees, but a potentially fortunate situation for the Corvette owner that likes to get their hands dirty.

Jack,

"Limey" is white racing, as in me. For plenum gaskets, Jerry has the best prices. for the 14078872 go to autozone, they have made in china ones identical to the OEM for $2.00 (Stamped "CHINA" on the grommet"
For the parts available still, buy from GM they are the best prices, for the hard lines & vacuum hoses that are all NLA, either make your own, or buy them from us, there may be other options on the latter.
