Re: ASR issue solved
The ASR can be removed and replaced with 90-92 cables without issue. Gets rid of the clutter and you get a slight improvement in throttle response.

Re: ASR issue solved
The way it's engineered, ASR has no correlation with throttle response. If anything, vacuum secondary system affects throttle response.

Re: ASR issue solved
Note I said slight. Due to the direct connection from throttle pedal to the throttle cam. Just feels a little better. No change in engine response.

Re: ASR issue solved
Interesting about ASR. I hated it when my engine was stock. It was too intrusive. When I had the late Jim Van Dorn modify the engine to the 500-hp level, ASR's level of intrusiveness became more acceptable.

Re: ASR issue solved
I would agree. I drive w ASR On. Even experimented w ASR by leaving ON taking off from the line, then punching it to OFF once I leave the line and have traction. Crude "launch control".

I was trying to avoid the wheel-spin in 1st and 2nd that would occur with stock tires as I hit and passed through about 5500 RPM. Thought it might fight the tendency to get squirrelly before and after those 2 shifts. I guess I must not drive it hard enough anymore, as I no longer am bothered by the invocation of traction control. I am usually thankful that the damn nanny actually helped! Marty |

Re: ASR issue solved
345 Pilot Supersports still break loose on a roll if I mash the pedal at 2000+rpm.
Sometimes it beats the ASR.
