Same problem. I bought my first Z in 1994 when I was 48. Bought second at 66 in 2012. So in for 20 years so far and that would make me.....Oh no!!! --Bob

This reminds me of an article that I read years ago that the demographics of Corvette ownership are interesting in that the same guys, over the years, have bought the car. Not the same demographic, the same people. That we have grown up with the car, and even in advanced age still have the interest.
This obviously doesn't bode well for the brand as we pass from the scene.

In 1952 I was eight years old, and car obsessed, when my dad came home from a business trip, (he was a tool maker), and told me about something he'd seen, molds at A.O.Smith that GM was using to make a "plastic car". Wow, what a concept. I saw a 53' at our local Chevy dealer, and was hooked. I've had a Corvette in the garage almost continuously since 1969. I turned 70 last month, and have had the ZR-1 since 94'.

My two year old grandson has got the fever early. Every time someone asked about what he wanted from Santa this year, the answer was always, "Car".

Our first two grandchildren just had their first Xmas this year and can't yet appreciate the ZR-1 but I hold out hope for the future. Started them off with Lionels around the tree and gave the oldest (9 months) a truck play set. Looking forward to a few more years to see where they stand on cars.--Bob

This post just made me do the math. This May will make 17 years for me. Time certainly doesn't slow down.
