Re: How old are the ZR-1 owners?
I'm 65. Bought first vett, 68 427 roadster with AC when I was 44. Not really mid life crisis as performce cars were my hobby from age 18 with the purchase of a 1956 studebaker golden hawk. Many performance cars since. Still have my 1967 purchase of a 1955 chev belair 2 dr ht v 8 stick and overdrive with 4.11 gears.
Another notable vette owed is a 1969 427/400 showroom. Unfortunately that had to be sold to buy my next vette. My current 1990 best fits all My interests of historic, extremely fast, comfortable, and something I could afford. May be my last vette..... Maybe. By the way I have a very understanding wife of 44 years!

I remember most people would never come close to the max on the speedo. Only my dad would come close at 104 on a 120mph dial in a Jag.

Re: How old are the ZR-1 owners?
Oh yeah, been meaning to post on this one. I'm probably the current youngest zr-1 owner, or I'm sure I was. I'll be 24 this saturday. I got my car August 2011 when I was 20. The funny thing is, the previous owner was 33, but he got the car when he was 20 as well. I don't plan on getting rid of her until I'm in the ground though.

Re: How old are the ZR-1 owners?
Dime you may well be the youngest or as you put it you were at 20.
We did at one time have an 18 year old member who got the Z from his older brother. I remember well since he lived close to me and I used to see his 90 around the area from time to time. He also worked at a local Chevy car dealership as well. The Z belonged to the dad first and then when he got a new C6 it went to the older brother for a year and then to the younger brother. I think it got to be a bit much for him to afford and he sold it after about a year. I remember commenting to him how lucky he was to have such a fine Corvette at such a young age and to be careful with all that power. This was all before the start date on this poll so Dime you may still be the youngest to date on this specific poll.
