Day 26: On Saturday we drove from Columbus to our home in Westminster, Maryland. No problems and a nice drive. It is good to be home.
26 days, eleven states, 5,878 miles. Jim |

Such great pics of the scenery in Utah and Colorado. I'm sure the photos don't completely do the incredible beauty of them justice - those are places one must experience in person to really appreciate.
Thanks to you and Lyndi for sharing all. Looks like your trip was another adventure for the books! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks so much for posting this. I bought a 1990 ZR1 in Missouri and drove it 13 hours home to Atlanta and read a lot to try and prepare. A few of my thoughts, these were my experiences YMMV.
I wasn't a huge fan of doing hours in the car at highway speeds because of the noise. I tried twice to get earplugs at gas stations, no luck. Between wind noise, engine and exhaust it was just loud. The seats were the best I've ever used for a road trip. After 13+ hours I had zero fatigue from them. At 80mph in 6th gear I'm at about 2000 RPM, and so if I hit a hill, I'd need to downshift...such an interesting and useful gear ratio. She is thirsty on the highway. ![]() One interesting gas station comment: "Beautiful car. That new vette is interesting, but more European looking. This one is for us." |

Goodman,
May I ask what exhaust? As for wind noise your windows might need adjustment. I have very minimal noise in my 1990. As for exhaust noise depending what system you have makes a difference
