Wrong wheels? Both mine and Geoff have the smooth wheeels.
This is 89 # 14 and the wheels were straightened but original.

Mine and 89 #74. All 89 and earlier have had this wheel pattern, the dish pattern were 90+.

The black car does have an engineering sticker on it however the blue car does not have one.

These are 88/89 wheels with their center caps removed see:

The vents appear to be darker then the 89s I have.

Versus this real early 1990 wheel:

Tyler's car probably has too few miles to be the one on the "field trip" in HOTB.

Well perhaps it was EX5023.. AKA Geoff's

There were very few M Blue Metallics made from what I can gather and this appears to be a prototype given its dark wheel vents.

I would have to agree. That is a 88/89 wheel without the cover. There may be a sticker in the top driver whindshield rather than down low like the dark car. I am prett sure Geoffs car went straight over to Lotus. Just might be mine. HMMM

The sticker is the #1. There are other black and white photo's of it as well in HOTB.

The black car has a 2 in the same place. Looking at the dates and the blue cars that were built I would have to agree it is my car. Also note that one of the narrow body cars on page 93 is the one in private hands.

Exciting huh! It looks like the photo of the LT5 on page 97 may be the M Blue one as well. The headlights and the passenger side mirror cleary apear to be metallic and not black.

Agree as it is a phase 2 motor, all the phase 3 motors had the corvette cast in the cam covers.

I had never though about looking at the photos in THOB to determine it any of the shots were of my car.

OK here is my NCM build sheet that is the clearest I have.

http://deliquescence.net/~tyler/prot...ld%20sheet.jpg

Couple of notes:
1. Inst cluster (84) is 867, These cars had the 8K tach.
2. Frame (12) is 1, so it is not done on a stock frame. It does have an 88 L98 vin sequence as I do not think at the time (06-87) they had worked out the vin derivations and there was no intention of producing an 1988 'production' saleable unit.

It says! KING OF HILL PROTO.

The ZR-1 option had not been assigned as most were lobbying for a RPO KOH at the time.

Also note the axle ratio says 3.54 GHO

I am glad to see that Geoffs car will be coming back. That car has a lot of provonance as Geoff has pictures of his kids in that car in 1988. He used it as a daily driver for a period of time.
