Thanks, Gunny, Dennis. Undeserving good, serious answers to a ridiculous question (i.e., MR7). :-)
Do you have a weather forecast? :-) |

Are there people that do both the mountain run as well as the corvette caravan? Having never been to the museum before I'm trying to plan my first trip. I'm thinking MR6 would be a great opportunity as opposed to waiting until 2019 for the corvette caravan. For people that do both, I'm assuming the mountain run is more enjoyable because the museum isn't as crowded?

An NCM Caravan is definitely a lot of fun ... but it can be incredibly crowded. I recommend the caravan to anyone simply for the unique experience of being a part of so many Corvettes. The Mountain Run that we do (the inaugural MR1 consisted of 7 C4 ZR-1's) is certainly smaller than some events and one of the benefits of smaller is not being lost in the crowd. Also, the C4 Gathering (separate event) following the Mountain Run is not as large as one of the national NCM events. Pros & Cons to each. Perhaps previous MR attendees reading this can chime in & provide further insight, opinions, etc. To whet your appetite for MR6 click HERE for photos from MR5. To view photos from other Vette events (previous mountain runs, 50th Caravan, etc.) visit my website ZRWON and navigate through the different albums. |

Mountain Run 6 is mainly ZR-1 corvettes, but that is certainly not a requirement. We head for the mountains of Tennessee, West Virginia and Georgia. We whip around the mountains for 3 days, then end at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky for the annual gathering of the C4 corvettes. Lots of 90-95 ZR-1's and 96 Grand Sports. The event is mainly these two specialty cars because those are the people passionate about there 'vettes. However, it is the C4 gathering and all are welcome.
AND WE HAVE A GREAT TIME! -Steve |

Gentlemen, I will get with George the first week after the holiday's and create a new post for MR6. I can guarantee you will like the venue this year. I am guessing this is the first year we will have more than 50 Corvettes participating in the event.

As I promised Gunny last year... Nina and I will be in attendance. Maybe this time, she will actually drive hers during the events! Sent from my iPad using ZR-1 Net Registry
