The biggest advantage is that it was in stock. I couldnt find a factory rear tow rod kit anywhere. Increased adjustability, rod ends for less play, etc are all fun also. I have a feeling i?ll be moving to coilovers sooner or later and the adjustability will be welcome. All this work to put in the SuperPro setup? and new arms will likely go in with the coilovers down the road. Time will tell

Re: Meet Bluey! 1994 #353
Cooling system filled
Power steering filled Suspension installed Bolts torqued and marked Gave myself a deadline as my wife's truck was scheduled to go in for a detail/ Ceramic Coating tomorrow and told myself the car should be driveable by then. I made the deadline! Sort of. Everything is back on the car. Alignment scheduled for 10am tomorrow. Tires are coming in this Wednesday (Nitto 555 G2). But theres one last thing. The EGR Bung on the exhaust is still open. I ended up threading it yesterday since I couldnt figure how else to plug it while the header is already on the car. Funny enough, the hole in the bung is a 9mm hole (dont ask how I confirmed this) so I pulled out the M9x1.25 tap from my tap and die set. HAHA.... no M9 bolts anywhere in the country! Shipping from a supplier on Ebay would result in delivery by the beginning of next month. I ordered some JB Weld Extreme Heat and a plastic epoxy syringe and figure i'll fill the threaded port with this stuff and hope it sticks. Will likely drive it to the exhaust shop and to/from work this week with the port open and get to it next weekend. Another option would be to re-tap it using a 3/8 tap and get a standard bolt from HD. Will think about it tomorrow. Dropping the car off the lift in the morning and adjusting rear ride height before I head to shop. Wish me luck!

If it were me, I would be aligning the car with the new tires..

Tire shop is about an hour away. I wanted to get the alignment on point (I eyeballed it but my eyes have been wrong before) and will bring it back to alignment shop after I drive it for a week or so and everything settles. Im gonna set rear ride height but also want to drive it some before I settle on what height I will keep it at.

Re: Meet Bluey! 1994 #353
Alignment didnt work out last week as Bluey couldnt make it on the alignment rack at the local specialist. Decided to wait and get it done when the tires were installed.
Went down to Radial Tire in Silver Spring, MD today to get the Nitto 555 G2s installed. I cant say enough good things about Radial Tire. I've been using them for years and have always had an excellent experience. They even beat Discount Tire's price! The ride of the car has been transformed! The old Michelins were very hard due to age. These Nittos are a dream! Got the car aligned also but... they didnt have shims to get caster in spec and I couldnt wait around the two hours they needed to get them in. I'll revisit caster and rear ride height at a later date. Very happy with how this project turned out so far. More to come!
