An AAA card is not a bad idea either. FWIW: I carry a scissor jack, tire plug kit (a good "gun" type w/mushroom plugs), a can of Green Slime, tire guage, wire cutters (to pull out the nail or whatever), a small 12v compressor, gloves, flashlite and a breaker bar w/deep socket (for jack and lugs). It all fits in the compartment behind the right seat. Unless I tear a hole in a tire, with this maybe I can keep going. Check the air in your spare too, even though I'd try to avoid using it if at all possible. See ya Sunday! |

Re: Mountain Run 2
What Doug said ... plus
if you have a spare serpentine belt, it's a good idea to keep it in the compartment behind the seat. I usually carry a small array of sockets, extensions, ratchets, wrenches, torx bits, etc. I picked up a couple of plastic tool boxes from Sears that hold most of what I need and are compact enough to carry easily ... I believe they are compact truck boxes Item # 00965117000P Model # 65117. The nice thing about this trip is the number of knowledgeable "mechanics" available should anyone need some help. |

Re: Mountain Run 2
I bring an alternator, serpentine belt, gaskets, coil packs, injectors and water pump. Tools of course.
