Default Belt Size: AC Delete

After trying a few belts looks like 69.5 to 70" 6 rib is what you need.

I tried 67, 68 1/8.....no go.....used a belt for O"REilly Auto parts K060695, which is 70". Anything over 69 would probably work.

Engine should fire in the next week or so, I will post if the belt works

Pete thought it was 66-67, but he might have UD pulleys

Lee,i mixed up the #'s since i used the no A/C belt for a short period till i had to use a 57" without water pump that's why i had the number 7 in mind but your right it's 69.5" with no A/C and 57' with no A/C and no water pump.

A little secret about belt part #'s K060695 the first 6 means ribs the 695 means 69.5 inches some might have these #'s in different order but mean the same.

Pete

I just got a NAPA 60690 (believe that's Gates) 69" to finish my A/C delete (with stock other pullies), after not finding this thread and working my way through each part number from 67.2 on up.

I should have measured it but since it was my 5th try and I have an event Sunday I didn't take the time LOL.

I did find the sticker's advice about coming from the back of the water pump is a little tougher to do with no AC as there's very little distance from the PS to the WP. And with a camber brace it's even more fun but it did work, pretty much as it should.

Seems to put the tensioner about 2/3rds of its' sweep. I almost got the 68.5 (60685) to work but would have had to pin the tensioner or find a third hand.

I'm almost anal enough to try a paint dot on a pulley and the belt to make sure it's not a harmonic length but not quite LOL!

Cheerio,
- Jeff

I believe that belts get particularly complicated because construction is actually 'metric' but they get part numbered in generally an 'approximate' SAE dimension.

Goodyear I believe still puts both on the sleeve. Here's the Gatorback references:

A 69" sales spec is actually closer to 69.1 - it matters sometimes.
