Default Throttle body coolant bypass

I have bypassed my throttle body coolant with a piece of fuel line hose running from side to side under the air horn, just as many have done. My concern and question is has anyone ever had the hose get hot enough to burn or melt through because of its location? Especially on a long trip. I know that Mark H. has a pipe for this purpose, someday I'll get one. Thanks Jim

I thought about running the hose under the plenum but if it leaks the starter is toast.I did the Haibeck crossover pipe but there was NO WAY it was going to slip under the plenum as instructed.I ended up pulling the plenum off to get it to route correctly and then had to tweak it with a tube bender to keep it away from the fuel rail on the left side.

I would recommend that you don't use hose. Mine lasted less than a year, high speed coolant leak in the middle of nowwhere(of course). Too tight and mine had chaffed thru in a pretty big hurry. Good Luck John

How about simply capping the respective ends? The lines are small, it just can't be a significant flow, or at least to my eye.
