Ramon and our Spainish friends have worked hard to document all the ZR-1's in Spain....

I've asked that this be put in our master list of all ZR-1's.

Here is the list:

1993 ZR-1 CORVETTES:

We know that in Madrid there is a 1993 ZR-1 Red/Red but we do not have the VIN information.

1994 ZR-1 CORVETTES:

1G1YZ22J8R5800080 black / black

We know that in Barcelona there is a also a 1990 or 1991 ZR-1 but we do not have the VIN information.

We have no records of any 1992 or 1995 ZR-1 Corvettes that may exist in Spain.

All this ZR-1 Corvettes are of the US market specifications. None of them are of the "export" RPO options.

All this cars were imported to Spain from the US or other European countries by private auto sellers or private owners. None of them were sold by GM Europe. GM began to sell the Corvette in Spain with its own dealer network in 1998, with the introduction of the C5 Corvette. We know of some C4 Corvettes that exist in Spain with the "export" RPO options, but they are regular C4 cars not ZR-1.

As per our knowledge, three ZR-1 Corvettes are totaled in Spain due to road accidents. They are 1990 model with VIN number #2202 and 1991 models with VIN numbers #9 and #540.

1991 #9 is severely damaged but is still assembled at the junkyard.

1990 #2202 and 1991 #540 were dismantled in pieces several years ago and the frames were crushed.

Hello friends.

I update the information about the ZR-1 Corvettes that are in Spain.

We have found details of another 1990 Z that appeared here last month.

1G1YZ23J8L5802725 TOTALED red / saddle

We have found the engine & transmission of this car in a junkyard in Madrid, and as per information given by the owner, unfortunately the car was scraped and dismantled about 10 years ago due to an accident that damaged the entire rear end. They only kept engine & trans and are still for sale now.

Another one that adds to the list of gone ZR-1's....

It would be nice that some day we can manage to make a registry database of all the ZR-1's that are still alive....it's a hard work, but with the help of all the Club members... all is possible.
