Default Slowww cranking...need battery recommendation

Went out to the garage to fire up the Z and it turned ever soooo slow, finally click...click...click...click. Okay time for a new battery. Any suggestion on brand? I don't care about the weight or cost, looking for something dependable.

Does brand really matter? What are others using? Any gel cells other than optima?

75-7YR BATTERY, PROFESSIONAL - 7 YR BCI 75 CCA 0690 32 VALVE SIDE TERMINAL

Hey Chris,

I use and love AC Delco and saw a lot of recommendations for it when researching mine. But I have also heard good things about Interstate with 700 CCA. You can't go wrong with Delco, but I think there are many other good batteries out there as long as you stay name brand. I stay away from any that requires cutting the top posts off as I experience when almost buying the Napa Gel. Optima is supposed to making a direct application battery for the C4 but I think they still have the cutoff post issue or other have found resolution to the interference with the cruise control but bending brackets, etc. I'm a direct fit person with correct application from manufacturer. From my own experience, I would not recommend Sears Die Hard though.

I've always had awesome experience with the Optima batteries. I've never killed one yet and I have a lot of stereo equipment in my Tahoe.

I like the yellow tops but if you aren't pushing huge subwoofers or amps the red top is probably more than adequate.

I have a Die Hard in the ZR-1, the Optimas are in my Z28, Tahoe, IROC, and Silverado. The yellow top in my Z28 has been reloacted to the rear spare tire well. The 4th Gen Camaro's have a pretty decent sized area and BMR makes a bracket that bolts right in once you remove the spare tire.

All the others the Optima fits right in the stock location with out any problem. I was going to buy an Optima for the ZR-1 as well but I was able to score the Die Hard pretty cheap and I didn't have to wait for it to be shipped.

After some research decide to go with the Exide. IMO I couldn't justify paying the premium for AC delco when they have some problems leaking.

A whopping 630 cca 800 ca. (Went with what was close to the house and readily available to purchase. The price was $64 with tax. The Delco battery was $105 plus tax.)
