Olympic Torch...
So I'm at my Truck Wash early this morning & get a call from some guys with support truck/vehicles for the Olympic torch that is making it's way across Canada to Vancouver, they are heading for Edmonton & want to come to my place to wash. First guy shows up, we wash his rig, then while he's paying his driving partner brings up to the front counter a big case, open's it up & pulls out a Torch, said get your guys lined up & we'll get some pictures! That was kinda cool .

Re: Olympic Torch...
The custodians of the torch took pictures & are going to E-mail them to me later. This is a quick one from a phone. They are having a big 'To-Doo' in downtown Edmonton tonight. Coka-Cola is sponsoring it along with RBC (Bank). The guys were telling us all kind of tid-bits about the flame that comes right from Greece & what-not. There wasn't a trucker at my place that smokes at the time, but I thought it'd be hilarious to get one of them to light their cigarette off it, LOL! Now that'd be a picture.

Re: Olympic Torch...
I saw somewhere on the news that there are 6 back-up flames as part of the support vehicles.
It is kinda cool. My daughter's soccer team took their picture with a torch runner & torch after he ran. Inspirational for 8 year old girls to say the least. Hey even us adults can get exited too right. |
