Question PCV Valve(s) Replacement

Doing some inexpensive winter-toolin around. Curiosity - from the book 1 of 2 service manuals for a 1992: there are 2 PCV valves and are not interchangeable. AC types CV746C and CV913C, however only CV913 is available and the other replaced by CV769C as per the GM dealer. My question is why 2 different sizes? Does anyone know the difference in function? Thanks...
