Selective Ride Control Gears
In attempting to look into and repair a "clunking" front shock due to a loose
locking nut, I removed the actuator to find ( or maybe I caused) a broken plastic gear. The manual calls it a "selective gear" that goes on top of the shock shaft. I didn't want to buy an entire shock, so I looked for the gear. Can't buy just the gear from GM. A new shock costs just about as much as a Z06. I found a guy, Brian, here in So. Cal. who sells these gears as machined metal in sets of (4) that includes new pins and a center punch-like tool. Not cheap, about $200 for all if I remember correctly. They fit, and my warning light doesn't go on any more. If you need them: Geraci4HP@aol.com Good luck, Ted |

Re: Selective Ride Control Gears
Yes, please recommend this product to fellow vette owners I appreciate it very much. I also rebuild the actuator motors that some time brake when the gear goes bad. The motors are $180.00 ea, rebuilt 2 week turnaround. Again Thankyou for your order, Sorry it took so long.
