It is a lot of work but with LT5's cheap and easy mods just dont exist. The results of porting are quite gratifying, as you can see by the dyno graph there is a solid increase in power across the entire useable rpm range when running the car hard.

Not so much. The addition of porting, Flowmaster, and HAT chip gave me another 35 rwhp and 22rwt at peak. However, peak isn't everything. At 6900 rpm the car gained an additional 50 rwhp and 38rwt. Total cost was about 2000.00. R&R was tit. The cost and time was well worth it. We'll see what headers do this winter.

Robert, thanks for the opinion on the throttle body. I read some archived threads on the other place from back when Jeff was thinking about it. You're right, if it's not worth anything like the majority believe, then why do all the big names do it.

You will be much happier doing the heads with the package. If you don't it will be done at a later date.

Maybe its time I tear your beast apart, then!
I was thinking of doing the plenum and IH that are on the car nowas I can't imagine it ouwld be down for more than a few days, but I guess it makes sense to tear into this other motor, do it up, and swap them out in a weekend. Even though I've been told my botom end is solid and should last a long time, I just can't bring myself to tear the top end off and have ANOTHER car that's not running.
Thanks, guys!
