Thumbs up 2009 A/LMS Schedule???

12 hours at Sebring starts the 09 ALMS season this Saturday.

IF (big IF) Corvette is going to run in GT racing this year, I read somewhere that (for team Corvette) GT1 is going to be limited beyond the 24 hour Le Mans, and a GT2 car is being prepped (read: LS2 (LS3?) engine, NOT the LS7) for the remainder of the ALMS season. Jeff Flint keeps up with these evolving details. Any light to shed on the GT season Jeff?

March 21 — Twelve Hours of Sebring, Fla.

April 4 — Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg (Fla.)

April 18 — Long Beach (Calif.) Grand Prix.

May 17 — Utah Grand Prix, Salt Lake City.

July 18 — Northeast Grand Prix, Lakeville, Conn.

August 8 — Acura Sportscar Challenge of Mid-Ohio, Lexington, Ohio.

Aug. 16 — Generac 500, Elkhart Lake, Wis.

Aug. 30 — Grand Prix of Mosport, Bowmanville, Ontario.

Sept. 26 — Petit Le Mans, Braselton, Ga.

Oct. 10 — Monterey, Calif

Drag racing AND ALMS...WooHoo! What a rush!

That means that spring is officially here!

now if the sun would come out here, I'd go get the Z out of the toy box & go play.

I'm heading down to Sebring on Wednesday. So I will have more to report after the race. But C6R will be at Sebring, Long Beach venues (I am not sure about St Pete.) and then heading to France to prep for the 24 hours. Le Mans will be the last race for the C6R in GT1. The GT2 car is almost complete from what I have heard. and will debut in select races after Le Mans. It will most definitely be at Petit in Atlanta. But the GT2 car will be using a destroked LS7 block to meet the size requirements.

Say HI to Tony for me - I'm not going this year.
