SCCA Solo Events: Chicago
Any interest in doing some driving other than 1/4 mile straights?
Chicago Region Solo drivers school is an excellent way to learn about and become involved in Solo events. It is a two-part school that consists of a classroom session and a day and a half of on track instruction. Instruction will be provided by experienced, award winning drivers (many with National Championship credentials). Because the entry is limited to only 100 students, there will be a very favorable student/teacher ratio allowing for maximum driving time and personal instruction. The school is for novice drivers with less than one year or no solo experience. Students must attend both days. Re: SCCA Solo Events: Chicago
I used to do alot of solo events years ago in my RX7 and later my Miata's. May even have a trophy or two laying around to prove it. It's alot of fun and and very challenging to do well. An investment in a good set of auto-x tires is a must. That said the ZR-1 may not be the best car to do it with. In the c4 family L98's have always done the best because of their ability to generate low end torque. Still, it would be fun to do. I could get interested again.
