What Parts
Until recently i was not aware that thru the 5 years of production they put different oil pumps on the LT5 and that the casing was not interchangable, which brings about my question. What other parts are different and will not interchange?

Good question and not one that is easy to answer since no one has sat down to figure that out. The good news is I would say at least 85% of the parts are the same. There are some engine as well as a few body parts that are not, even the ECM is different. Of course later models have features like PKE and tractions control and then you have different seats, dash, wheels, body side mouldings, etc. Oil pan is also different as well as the plenum. Even the spark plugs changed but are interchangeable.

There is an extra connection on the side of the later plenum.
