Re: QuickJacks
Although no longer produced, I am very pleased with my Kwik-Lift. It is such a simple, maintenance-free design that is also portable. I don't even store it away; I just park on it. Mine has a 5k# capacity, and gets my vehicle raised about 21" plus vehicle suspension ground clearance. With the sliding jack tray, it's easy to pull wheels, suspension, etc. leaving the vehicle on the lift.
I occasionally find these for sale on Craigslist. American-made in Oklahoma. I previously had a shop building with plenty vertical clearance and a 4-post lift, but at my residence, I am limited by a garage with an 8' high ceiling, so a Kwik-Lift is my better option. I considered the MaxJax, but too unsure of the specs of my already existing garage slab (concrete mix, concrete thickness, reinforcing steel) to drill and set anchors.
