Default 1990 3rd brake light bulb replacement

What bulb is it and how do you remove it to replace a burnt out bulb? Don't find in my service manual.

891 or I believe a G4 bulb also works.

Open the hatch.

Remove two torx bolts from underneath.

Flip the now free light housing over.

Remove two Phillips screws to open housing.

Swap bulbs. Use gloves, so the oil on your hands doesn't get on the new halogen bulbs.

When reassembling make sure the lip of the rubber gasket is outside the light housing. The housing kind of sits "inside" the outer lip of the gasket.

891 (10W) bulbs or G4 (10W) bulbs. The LED equivalent are only around 2-3W.

Examples...

Go slow or the thin gasket from the light lens to the housing will tear.

A couple photos from today while I was attempting to put LED G4 bulbs in. They didn't work as the base was too thick to fit into the housing. I have another style another ZR-1 owner successfully used now on the way.

The two T-30 bolts in the middle you need to first remove. There isn't much space, so a 1/4" drive T-30 socket if you have one works better than a 3/8" drive socket. I only have 3/8" drive in that size, so I start them then use my fingers to back them out.
