Cool Dyno rip of 1994 #150

I attended Slowhawk Performance's (Bridgewater, MA) annual open house this morning and let 1994 #150 sing on the Mustang Dyno. She pulled to 7k and the curve hadn't quite tipped over when we let off. I was honestly expecting some heartbreaking figures from the Mustang Dyno as I know they can read a little lower, but the figures were right in line with what previous owners hit.

Peaked at 445 RWHP @ 7K and 392 lb. ft.

Both vids uploaded in 4K 60 FPS if you need/want to adjust your YouTube quality settings to see them like that.

Run 2: https://youtu.be/leVBTCJUGrc

I have to say a lot of attendees were shocked to see what they thought was "Just a C4" made the sounds and power she did. It was my first car event with her and got many compliments and many questions on the ZR-1 platform. It was the first time many people had seen one in person.

That's my favorite song, listening to these things sing on the dyno.

Just an FYI. I would say the car detonated around 25-26 seconds on run 1 and around 17-18 seconds on run 2.

Thanks Graham! My ALDL -> USB cable didn?t arrive yesterday like it was supposed to, so unfortunately no data from today. The AFR stayed clean from the shop?s sensor at least. I believe the plug wires are new-ish but not sure on the plugs. Once I can datalog I?ll do some highway pulls and check for knock counts.

Graham,

Was it the puffs of smoke that gave it away for knock? My experience is that if there is detonation it likely occurs between 4500-5500rpm on a WOT pull.

Yes. The engine is most "Knock limited " around peak torque typically.
