Default WTB: Drivers Information Center (DIC)

The display panel of my 1992 drivers information Center display panel has somehow developed a hairline crack. Two questions:

1) is this a common condition
2) does anyone have an extra they are will to part with?

They're available on eBay, but I haven't found one with the ZR-1 logo.

Thanks,

robrtr '92

Interesting. I just checked the NCRS Judging Guide for 1992-93 ZR-1's.

It states that the information screen should appear black when the ignition key is off. My '92 has a ZR-1 logo on it. I'm the third owner and it's stock except for a replacement power antenna motor.

The DIC's I've seen on eBay all have a blank display so I guess one of those will work.

Does anyone else have a logo on their DIC?

Is this what you are looking for?
https://www.mamotorworks.com/corvett...er-plate-50941

I have this DIC trim plate on my red 1990 and another style (gold outlined ZR-1 logo) on my black 1990.
This trim panel inserts into the dash panel over the DIC membrane.

So the crack might be in the acrylic cover, not the underlying screen? Any suggestions on how to remove it? Thanks.

Car's in the shop tonight. I'll post a picture tomorrow. But I think hotroddaddyo and -=Jeff=- are right, it's an aftermarket add on inserted behind the dash panel.

Thanks for the help!

I removed one by prying the top edge away from the dash trim using a thin knife blade... it is actually a tight compression fit created by the felt strip at the bottom of the logo plaque. I did not damage anything by removing it... it reinstalled tightly.

Here are two pictures of my DIC. hotroddaddyo accurately described the DIC insert. I'm not an NCRS guy so I'll just leave it there. Thanks for all the responses.
