Re: A question for the longtime owners.
Agree with Dom.
Difficult engine access keeps me in check on my C8. Just the opposite situation on the C4 ZR-1. Full engine bay access without have to remove the Hood. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Re: A question for the longtime owners.
I have been driving C4 ZR-1s since October 1991, current 94 being my second one. Truly fortunate to be able to get a 2022 Z51 without having to lose my 94. Both are my toys but I am one of those who insist on driving my toys as my daily drivers. As such, I have 182,000 miles on my 94 and 13,000 on my 22. Having a 20 year old BMW coupe for rainy days help tremendously.

Re: A question for the longtime owners.
Yun, I can just see you hanging upside down being lowered into Phil's C8 engine bay, ha ha!
Marty, your car is being enjoyed for sure and now have 114,000 miles on it. With ceramic coating and Xpel film on the hood, keeping it clean is easy, just takes a couple of minutes to get it ready for cars and coffee or a car show. When you have the Wazoo brotherhood in the area to keep it running like new, you can relax and enjoy it. I have a 2016 Volvo S60-R Special Edition as my daily.

Re: A question for the longtime owners.
Only had my ZR-1 for 7 years, but have had my 2002 Tacoma since new. Ive been to hell and back with that Tacoma. I t boned a deer in 2020 and she sat for a couple years just doing odd jobs around my property, had multiple offers from random folks to buy even in her banged up condition, but just couldn't part with her. She' all fixed up now and back on the road, but I rarely drive her (have a Tundra daily driver). At some point the Tacome will become the focus of upgrade/restoration efforts, right now its the ZR-1. Neither one is going anywhere. The ZR-1 is my Ferarri Testarossa, so to speak, and a bit of a resue operation. Some days I just like to admire it, and driving it is a joyful experience that I doubt I could replicate at this point as my interest in the ZR-1 spans 30 years and hasnt waned. I also am original owner of several fine motorcycles from the mid to late 2000s which i like to take to shows and to the track. This stuff keeps me grounded and sane i think.
Side note Ive attempted retirement twice now and found i wasnt ready ;D Just one mans thoughts for comparison sake .

Re: A question for the longtime owners.
Never thought about it.... I still find the ZR-1 wildly fun and incredibly rewarding to drive!

Re: A question for the longtime owners.
Never thought about it.... It's my first Corvette, my first ZR-1 and, in addition, here in Spain ZR-1 are more rare cars than in the USA yet!
What is more, when I can, I'm looking to buy another ZR-1. One 93 40th Anniversary. C4 ZR-1 are like an obsession when you taste them.
