Hi guys, I have an elementary question. I have a 1991 ZR1, when I bought it there were problems with the synchros in the transmission. There was no one in the area that worked on ZF trannys so I bought a new one on ebay. I kept the old one thinking that I wanted to preserve originality, but looking at the ID plate on the transmission and the VIN numbers they don't match at all. Any ideas? I've read about mismatched components during assembly.
