Default 200 amp Alternator for A/C

I have done all the upgrades that is in Marc Haibeck's sight except the alternator upgrade. Last time I removed the alternator I don't think I had to remove the plenum just the alternator bracket... is that correct? Also, has anyone tried a blower from a different GM product? I would think the blower would be a traditional GM style mount. Wonder if there is a higher speed blower motor that's is a direct fit?

If you do not remove the plenum, you need to remove the air horn in front of the plenum to access the alternator.
I do not know of higher performance blower. However, adding additional wire to the blower and increased amperage of the alternater, I noticed, speeds up the blower motor.

Thanks, yeah, I remember pulling the air horn as soon as you said it. I already have the additional power line to the blower. I may go to a salvage yard and see if one from something like a Tahoe fits. Thanks

If you go to 200 amp alternator, you will have to upgrade alternator to battery cable and might as well pull the plenum. Much easier to work on.
