Sunday morning test drive
Good morning guys,I got my low oil pressure switch in a few days ago with help from the wife , she is now a active member of the C-4 ZR-1 maintenance club, lol.1
Took her out for a test drive a d all is good , no smoke now. The leaking switch was spraying on the header causing smoke. I drove about 70 miles and really enjoyed the trip. This machine is so much fun to drive , it never gets old. I'm glad I decided to buy this car. She still needs several things like seats covered , carpet ,weather stripping and paint at some point. I have driven her over 6k miles so far and mechanically she is stout. I had a guy in a jeep pull up beside me and asked " is that a real ZR-1? He looked to be in his 30s , I was surprised he even knew about the Z. Anyhow, a fun and cool car to drive and I plan on many more miles in the future. Thanks to everyone here on this site for all the help as I learn this car. I am very proud to be keeping the Beast alive. It's a well engineered machine and looks and drives great. I think she is happy being back in her element. Have a great day everyone , and thank you all. |
