A few years ago, 1989ZR1#74 and TylerT posted to this site the build sheets for the 1988 King of the Hill prototype cars.
However, VIN 00039 was not posted. Does someone have that build sheet and would they be kind enough to post that build sheet here? Thank you. |

Do you own this car? Is it still alive?

I bought a book called All 1983-1989 Corvette Colors, Codes & Quantities. it has a full list of 1988 King of the Hill exterior and interior colors and RPOs, VINs, experimental numbers, vehicles numbers, and notes about build sheet notes. Also has all 1989 ZR-1 exterior and interior colors, including the 22 units of Arctic Pearl (there were 55 total units of Arctic Pearl in 1989). Has full VIN list for 1988-89 Challenge cars and info about about the ZR-1 RPO Z5Z cars.

Factory-painted bright orange for 88/89 KoH? Book says none. In 1988, there were 3 coupes and 2 KoH of 66U Dark Orange (1987 Copper)

I should have clarified base cars. Back in the late 80s I saw both a coupe and convertible in the bright orange metallic and a pearl white coupe.

1989 arctic pearl coupes: 29 units (there were base convertibles and 22 ZR-1s) and page 124 has an article about some special Arctic Pearl cars
I always thought this looked bright orange, not the Dark Orange (Copper): |

That is orange metallic,at the time I saw both a coupe and convertible in this color there was a GM zone office in Fremont so the car must of had a connection to that. There is no mistaking the this with copper or bronze. From what I understand this color was never offered on a production Corvette.
