Sandhills Open road Challenge 2021
Thought I?d share some pics and experience from my annual trek to Arnold Nebraska for Open road racing. ZR-1 tech and car number application Tuesday by local teens and adult volunteers. Loup to Loup race halfway point turnaround for cars prior to return leg back Thursday am. More to come

Pics of car show Friday and turnaround first leg SORC race. I was 9 seconds slow on first leg max speed 140MPH in the 100MPH average class. I noticed knocking sound from plenum area prior to first leg run. Decided not to run second leg to be safe. No issues at speed with good oil pressure and levels. Not sure if bad gas or flywheel etc. Will have Marc Haibeck check it out later. Bad weekend for ZR-1s. 1990 red flipped and landed on roof crushing it.
