Default New Owner for 1994 #00082

Hi All,

I am the proud new owner of a 1994 ZR-1. #00082. Polo Green II w/ Saddle Interior.

I don't believe there's much history on the car in the Registry. The short version of the car's history from what I know is that it was built in November of 93'. Sold to someone in Texas in February of 94'. That owner had the car for about 5 years and along the way moved to California. This encompassed 90% of of the car's public life. With about 8,300 miles on the odometer the owner sold her. After this she was driven very little and largely traded as an investment over the next 20 years. Recently, I rescued her from storage and have brought her home to a new life in Anaheim Hills, California. With approx. 12,500 miles now on the odometer, she is learning to be a car again. And I am learning to be a mechanic. It is a difficult process for both of us (and I definitely could use some help). The example of the type of neglect that she has been through that I often reference is when going on a test drive, the previous owner said to me "Hey, you seem to know about these cars, do you know what this little key does?" I knew in this moment, I had to protect this car and bring her back to life.

I would love to meet some members in my area. And would love all the mechanical advice and assistance I can get as well. The CorvetteForum has been assisting me with my questions thus far. I believe a lot of members are on both platforms.

I have always wanted to be a part of the Registry and look forward to becoming a member. Will pay my dues as soon as the car's fuel and air management system allows me. I have loved C4s all the way back into the 90s as a member of Corvettes Limited in Bowling Green. I was just a teenager back then and didn't fully understand the privilege it was to be in a Corvette club at the heart of the Corvette universe. I was part of some pretty amazing shows and got to see and play with some fantastic machines. The ZR-1 was still in production when I was part of the club, and embodied everything I wanted a Corvette to be. I am thankful and proud to now have one now as my own.

Welcome to the Land of Z, Atari_Prime. Looks like a beauty. Enjoy driving it!

I know there are some nice driving roads in the hills out your way. Drove them a few years ago with my son-in-law in his '83 911.

Again, congrats and welcome.

Polo saddle is a beautiful color combination. I?ve had two friends that Have had those. Twist that little key and drive it man. Make sure clutch and brake hydraulics are all good not leaking and strong. Put some new tires on her. Enjoy and drive it.

Congratulations Atari Prime! It is a beautiful car, a dead ringer for my '95, which I bought in 2012 with only 19,000 miles on it. Had Marc Haibeck go through it thoroughly when I first got it and it always ran great after that. But I caution you that soon you will want Marc to do his 510HP package for you. A risky business, owning a beautiful ZR-1! Always sad that I had to sell it in 2016--really loved and enjoyed my Polo '95.--Bob
