Default That first THRILL after a winter hibernation!

Yeah, I know...snow's been gone from the roads for a while now, so why wait till now? Well, I been bizzy wid packin' up to move to Missouri (to live in the Ozarks among all those twisty roads!).

Anywayz, ain't nuttin' like a spirited drive on a county blacktop in the cool air to put a thrill in yer bones! (Did you know a Z can turn what appears to be a smooth county blacktop into a ride reminiscent of rowing a rowboat on a choppy lake?)

I did come up quick on a Mustang GT doin' some "spirited driving" of his own. But, all things considered, we behaved ourselves. However, I imagine he had to be surprised to see anyone suddenly appear in his rear view mirror as he "rowed" along that secluded blacktop!

The more south you get in Illinois, is when you can find those nice, secluded county backroads.... And once you are down in the Ozarks, you will find more twisty backroad fun! I just did the same this past weekend. There is nothing like a good drive after not being in the Z for awhile. She may be 30 years old, but is still fast and gets thumbs up

OK, OK, Hold on boys... Wisconsin happens to have some of the best roads. Example Mount Herb Wi to Dodgeville Wisconsin. Car or bike is like driving in a video game. 37 to 72 miles of twisty. It's freak you out fun.Screenshot_20210401-095127_Chrome.jpg

Oh, no doubt WI has some nice twisties too. Matter of fact, IIRC there is a car club up there that arranged road trips through WI's back country every summer - up until COVID became an issue (last summer). Always thought I'd like to do that gathering. Have U done it yet? How wuzit?

I haven't with IIRC yet but I have been with many of those groups throughout the past 25 years and I grew up on those back roads. Don't like being the lead car but I know the roads well. Great Lakes held a event a couple years back that involved Borderline unacceptable spirited driving as I was reminded by the girlfriend over and over again.. We came across a Couple of Amish families pulling buggies throughout the morning. Keep in mind they didn't have cell phones thank God so they couldn't call the police but man they got upset.....
