Default Low oil pressure warning - how?

Most of us know low oil pressure sensor is one of oil leak source on the passenger side, front of LT5.
Matter of fact, last Sunday, I endured a painful torture to replace one. Then I got curious - is there a low oil pressure warning light? I run down to my car, turn the the ignition key to run position which typically turns on all warning lights briefly to verify all light bulbs are functioning and no "low oil pressure warning light".
I check 1994 Corvette owner's manual and again no mention of low oil pressure warning light.
We have "low oil" warning light but this is for low oil level.
Anyone? Have we been replacing unused sensors?
I'm going to disconnect the connector and see if anything light up. I'm curious!

I have never seen a light.
Then again, I likely never had low oil pressure.
Perhaps the ECM or CCM monitors it, and maybe reacts to it.
It might prevent Secondaries or kill the injector pulse?

My Buick 455 circa 1970 cuts off the electric fuel pump if the oil pressure low indicator light activates.
I would like to think the LT-5 is at least as "high-tech"?

I know cars without oil pressure gauge would light up low pressure warning light. Well, our Zs have oil pressure gauge. This makes warning light redundant. Did Lotus/Chevy allowed for low oil pressure warning sensor and then decided warning light was not necessary?
If ECM sees low pressure, then what? Shut the motor off? At 175?

I can't find it in the service manual either, buta couple of things come to mind from somewhere deep in my old gray matter. Parts Manual calls it a "Olw Oil Pressure Switch", service manual only refers to it a a low oil pressure sensor. I think is is timed out of the start sequence, and is part of the different signals that illuminate the DIC "SES". For some reason, I had always thought it illuminated an idiot light of its own, "Low Oil Pressure", but that is apparently not the case.

If oil pressure drops on the gauge does it not activate the ?check gauges? light?

I just checked electrical for 94. You are correct. Low oil pressure switch will trigger check gauges.
