Default Selective Ride Control Code 13 Help Please

I have been getting an intermittent Ride Control Light on the panel. I connected A to C to get the codes and I have a Code 13 Left Rear Actuator Timeout.

I pulled the left rear shock and and ran all the appropriate FSM tasks and it says that I need to replace the left rear actuator.

I'm hoping this might be a common problem that some of you have had before. So before going out and blindly replacing the actuator, I would like your input.

Unfortunately not an uncommon situation. If you want a final confirmation I would swap the actuator with the opposite side and see if the code switches to that side. If it does you have your answer. If it stays on the original side there is an issue with the shock itself, whereby the shaft is not turning properly. Either way you'll be certain.

Frankly, however if you've done the diagnostics per the FSM it's fairly certain you have the correct diagnosis.

Had similar issue on my front actuators. Removed them, cleaned them with WD40 and then re-lubricated the gears with garage door silicon lubricant spray from Home Depot.
Have had no troubles since.

Had the same error (in front) but ended up not being the actuator itself but just the gear on the shock rod that is driven by the actuator (the gear literally fell apart when I took of the actuator). Just changed the gear itself and everything worked perfect afterwards. Can be worth to check.

I switched the rear actuaters, cleaned. and reoiled them. So far no codes or lights. But if the code comes back and it moves to the other side of the car then I will know for sure. Thanks for the help.
