Number 6 cylinder miss solved
Hi guys, I had been chasing a miss on cylinder #6, come to find out it was the ECM. So I sent it to Marc H and he tested it to confirm and he had the soldier reflowed. I installed it this morning and it's running great. I also purchased a performance chip from Marc. Getting ready for a test drive now. Just want to say thank you to Marc for all his help, he knows his stuff.
Also have any of you guys used the VettetoVette frame stiffeners for these cars? I ran across an article in Super Chevy talking about it. Now that I have the drive train straight I can move on to other projects with my Z. Thanks. |

Installed one last weekend. Yes took the cringe out of rough roads. Created squeaks in different locations in interior. Yet to get out to boogey on my good roads. Always raining.

Have had mine for 3 years and confirm what XfireZ51 stated above. I like it and it does make a difference.

My experience with my V2V stiffener bars are like those above. There is a noticeable improvement.

My kit is sitting in a box in the garage. Just need my Corvette to arrive to install it.

However, I have several occasions in dealing with Jason @ Vette2Vette (local to me). He's always been a class act to deal with: many times has come through with information (cross-reference data) as well as parts as needed (seats, hood, various do-dads!). A good guy to put on your "to call" list.

Re: Nunber 6 cylinder miss solved
Thank you guys for the replies. I'm probably going to try them, I removed the stock mufflers and spare tire and associated parts and the car sits much higher in the rear now. I bought 2 inch lowering bolts to get her back down. The front is another issue, I'm researching coil overs now. It's nice to have the engine sorted out, it allows me to move on to suspension. There is a guy with an admiral blue 1994 Z that he lowered all the way around and it looks great. I don't want to go to radical, but some lowering is in order. I'm excited to get my baby personalized a little. I'm also considering a roll bar also, maybe a 6 point, that should help stiffen up the chassis also. Thank you guys for the opinions and feedback.
