Default Using a tech 1A

I'am new to using a tech 1 A so my question is.
When using a tech 1 A what type of printer should i use to read and save the
information. I know i can capture the data ,but it will not be saved when tech 1 A is powered down.
Thanks
John

Back in ancient times, you could get a TECH1 printer from Vetronix, but I have not seen one of those in 20-25 years.

It's possible that you could get a T1A to print to other devices but I don't know how you could solve the connectivity issue.

Specifically...what data are you trying to save?

Well the dyno tests are done i one state and then the chip is done in an
state. So instead of having to write down the basic info on each pull just
print out each run to read later. Or go to a tuner that can do the pulls and
write the chip on site.
This information would be used to set the tune for everyday driving and
occasional trip down the 1/4 mile. This is not a big deal if i cannot print out
the run information.
Thanks

does the tuner need Tech 1 info specifically? maybe a scan with TunerPro or ALDLDroid would be better for them? Have you asked the tuner what they could use?

I'am going to make an appointment next week for the dyno runs. In the
time i will record a run to see what my numbers are and write them down.
I added a spacer between the injector housing and air plenum ( 1 in ) to see if it makes any change in my cars tune.

Frankly, for datalogging ALDLDroid is a much better solution.

Do you have a Windows Laptop? if so just buy a USB ALDL cable and use TunerPro.. either way will work.. both TunerPro sand ALDL Droid use the same config files
