Iac replacement/adjustments
I've been chasing an idle and drivability issue with my car for awhile. I think I've got it close, but I still have an issue.
When the car is warmed up, it wants to idle high. It sticks at 1k or so. It will come down after a minute or so. If I turn it off and restart, it idles normal. When it's cold, it acts fine. It drives good now, but the idle hangs. After I replaced the iac valve and cleaned out the passage, I followed the manual instructions to start and run for 5 seconds, start the engine and turn it off. After I did that, I checked the TPS voltage, but it was fine. When it's idling at 675rpm, I'm seeing 14 as my iac position, but when it's hung up, I have 30. It's like it's not adjusted right. When I did the iac on my 92' camaro, I had to jumper the aldl port, but the manual does not say anything about jumping the aldl port. I've read conflicting things. What do you all recommend? It's so close to being right... Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-T280 using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app |
